Backcountry Ski Week in Rocky Mountain National Park
Backcountry Ski Week - 5 Days
This week-long trip is designed for backcountry skiers or boarders with some experience and avalanche training who want to take their abilities to the next level with professional mentoring and challenging terrain..
Day 1: 7am meet and day trip for training and skills building. Pack for overnight trip in afternoon.
Day 2: Depart trailhead in am, ski into basecamp at 10,000'. Set-up camp and tour into upper valleys.
Day 3 & 4: Ascend and descent numerous slopes and peaks up to 13,000' based on avalanche danger and snow conditions.
Day 5: Ski descents in morning, return to trailhead by 4pm. Course close and celebration.
Backcountry boarding in RMNP, CO.
This five-day seminar takes place entirely in the backcountry of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Splitboards, Tele, and AT are all welcome to join the fun!
All ski seminars are lead by a AMGA Certified Ski Mountaineering Guide w/ Level 3 Avalanche Certification.

Meets: Estes Park Mountain Shop, 8am
March 9-13 Powder Camp
Skiing equipment, transportation, and food are not included in this fee.
Avalanche rescue equipment and group camping gear(tents, stoves) are provided.
