AMGA Single Pitch Instructor (SPI) Course

Eli Helmuth has been an instructor and examiner for the AMGA since 1999 and in the the last decade has taught more than 400 days of AMGA rock and alpine courses throughout the U.S. and Canada as well as conducting numerous certification exams.
As a certified AMGA Rock Guide since 1991, Eli has accumulated thousands of days of experience in guiding multi-pitch rock and alpine routes and his breadth of experience around the world make him one of the most qualified AMGA guide trainers.
As a teacher and coach, Eli is a very patient and capable educator and he is very skilled at tailoring each student's learning experience to their abilities and training needs.

SPI Course Overview
The following three day outline is the standard progression for the SPI Course. Your course may have a different daily schedule and it is acceptable for Program Providers to do this as long as the entire curriculum is covered in your course. Program Providers may add to the curriculum on your course but may not omit pieces.
